Pete Murray delivered a stripped back, soul soothing set at the Torquay Hotel last night, proving once again why he's one of Australia’s most beloved voices.
Opening with Lines and following up with Bail Me Out, he wasted no time rolling out the bangers. Just Pete, his guitar, and that voice. Smooth like butter and somehow untouched by time. No band, no fuss. Just raw, heartfelt music that hit exactly where it needed to.
In between songs, Pete took his time, sharing stories from his life and career — from early days grinding it out to the unexpected success of Feeler.
The crowd, clearly full of long-time fans, sang along word for word to classics like Opportunity, So Beautiful, and Better Days, creating that rare kind of collective energy where nostalgia meets the present moment.
